Empowering the National-Level 5G+ Smart Factory! Jinko Power's Nanjing Changan Automobile Energy Storage Project Completed and Connected to the Grid

2024-10-24

Recently, the energy storage project on the user side of Nanjing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Nanjing Changan") was successfully connected to the grid, following its commissioning by Jinko Power (601778.SH). This marks another successful implementation of Jinko Power's comprehensive energy storage solution for the user side in the new energy vehicle manufacturing sector.

The project has an energy storage system capacity of 3.3MW/10.05MWh. After being commissioned, the system can achieve two charging and two discharging cycles based on the factory's electricity usage periods. This will significantly reduce peak electricity costs, effectively adjust the factory's load, smooth out the electricity usage curve, and ensure a high-quality power supply for the factory.

Nanjing Changan is located in the Lishui Economic Development Zone's Aviation Industry Park in Nanjing. As a national-level 5G factory, it extensively utilizes smart manufacturing technologies. The factory's production workshops are equipped with seamless 5G networks and IoT platforms, making it an important new energy vehicle manufacturing base for Changan Automobile in the East China region.

The project is managed and operated by Jinko Power’s integrated energy service provider, Jinko Huineng, which provides specialized energy storage station operation and management services.

Jinko Huineng has obtained a Class IV license for the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical power facilities, approved by the Central China Supervision Bureau of the National Energy Administration. The company has also secured software copyrights for three key platforms, including its energy storage operation platform and energy efficiency monitoring platform. With a professional energy storage operation team and advanced operational platforms and mechanisms, Jinko Huineng focuses on four key areas: solution customization, operational strategy planning, operational data analysis, and technical support, providing Nanjing Changan with comprehensive, multi-dimensional operation and maintenance services, as well as integrated professional solutions.

To date, Jinko Power has invested in and developed several user-side energy storage projects, which have been successfully commercialized, including the 10MW/20MWh project in Haining, Zhejiang, the 1MW/2.15MWh project at Yatai Pharmaceutical in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, the 0.9MW/3.01MWh project at Far East Cable in Yixing, Jiangsu, the 1.4MW/3.01MWh project at the 7412 Factory in Zhoushan, and the 100kW/215kWh project at Tencent’s Binhai Building.

In the context of the rapidly growing "New Energy + Energy Storage" integration trend, the overall market scale is expanding quickly. In the future, Jinko Power will continue to support the widespread application of energy storage technology, ensuring the safe and stable operation of energy storage products, and effectively laying the foundation for new power systems.
